27 1938-1964 40th Anniversary of Workers’ Compensation Administration 1951 marked the 40th anniversary of workers’ compensation administration in the US. All 44 state legislatures that met in regular session in 1951 proposed amendments to workers’ compensation laws of their states and many bills were enacted into law. Seven of ten provinces of Canada also amended their workers’ compensation acts in 1951.
